Emerald Group celebrates award success!
Emerald Group has had two awards to celebrate recently, with GoodPractice winning the Education and Training Award at The Herald Scottish Digital Business Awards and Emerald Publishing’s Rebecca Evans being highly recommended as a Digital Achiever in the Futurebook Awards.
GoodPractice won the Education and Training Award for its work with international drinks company Edrington to develop the Edrington Academy, a new global learning hub.
Edrington’s brands have long been international icons. But as the Scottish business with 600 employees quickly expanded to become a truly global enterprise, it encountered a significant problem. With over 2,300 employees across 50 nationalities, the ad hoc training silos of the past were no longer sufficient. The company needed a modern, consistent and flexible learning solution to develop the leaders it needed to grow. With the Edrington Academy, GoodPractice created the on-demand, digital, blended solution the business needed to provide comprehensive training, support and development for all employees.
The win cements GoodPractice’s reputation as a leading provider of high-quality online leadership and management resources.
Rebecca Evans, meanwhile, was honoured for quietly changing the culture for digital innovation at Emerald.
As Emerald Global’s CEO Richard Bevan put it in her Futurebook Digital Achiever award nomination, Rebecca has been: "… central role in Emerald’s digital transformation. She has championed and implemented new agile ways of working such as running design sprints to develop prototypes in a ‘lab’ environment. Her strength is leading teams and building communities to drive culture change, with real empowerment and energy evident in all she does.”
